Subic — The USS Topeka (SSN-754), a Los Angeles-class attack submarine, arrived at Subic Bay Tuesday, just hours before the Supreme Court ruling upholding the legality of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (Edca) between the Philippines and the United States.

The submarine prepares to dock at the Alava pier of Subic port in Zambales Tuesday, for a three-day port stop. Subic Naval Base is one of the agreed locations that the US government identified as part of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement.

According to the US Embassy, it will conduct a multitude of missions and maintain proficiency of the latest capabilities of the submarine fleet.
