The Philippines Miss Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach won and brings home the crown as the 2015 Miss Universe. Wurtzbach rose up to top 15, to top 10, top 5, top 3, and finally as the 64th Miss Universe.

The top 5 were asked with pre-selected questions. Wurtzbach was asked on her opinion regarding the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement between the United States and the Philippines that will increase American military presence in the Philippines.

Wurtzbach said the Philippines was once colonized by the US. “I think the US and PH have always had a good relationship with each other. I think the US and PH have always had a good relationship with each other. I don’t see any problem with that at all.”

Wurtzbach was selected again and joined the top 3 with Miss USA and Colombia after the first question and answer portion.

For the final question and answer portion, the top three were asked why should they be the next Miss Universe.

Wurtzbach answered and said, “Being the Miss Universe is both an honor and a responsibility. I will use my voice to influence the youth. I would raise awareness on causes like HIV. I wanna show the universe that I am confidently beautiful with a heart.”
