China has allowed the first group of tourists to visit its man-made island in the disputed West Philippine Sea. A Hainan Airlines plane carrying civilian visitors touched down on Kagitingan Reef also know as Fiery Cross Reef on Friday, according to Sina News.

According to the report, the tourists are all families of soldiers who are assigned on the island.

Photos posted on the news site showed happy family reunions on the island, with uniformed Chinese soldiers holding their wives and kids.

Some report says that there will be more civilians to visit or maybe occupy the fake island to assure and solidify their claim.
